CO-OPTION AND VACANCY

The governing body shall have power to co-opt any person for his services rendered to the society to fulfil the objectives.   The governing body can also fill-up the vacancy in the governing body during its term of office if it has fallen vacant due to any reason.

ELECTION

The President for the governing body will be elected in the meeting of the general body for a period of 2 years. The election will be held by show of hand.   Due to any mis-happening and any unavoidable reasons, the governing body can pass a resolution for a fresh election / mid term election but after an expiry of at least one year.

NOTICE FOR MEETING OF THE GENERAL BODY

A meeting of the general body shall be held meeting shall be after end of financial year of the society. The governing body can also call any emergency meeting as and when required.

QUORUM

The quorum of the general body will be more than half of the total members of the general body. The quorum for tie governing body shall be 10 including President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer. The main founder members can also complete the quorum of 10 including President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer.

NOTICE PERIOD FOR GOVERNING BODY MEETING

Minimum five meetings are necessary in a year. Seven days clear notice is necessary for calling the governing body meeting specifying the place, date and time and objective /business to be transacted.   Members-publicity shall take responsibilities to carry out above task. Any emergency meeting of the governing body may be called by a shorter notice by the Secretary with the permission of the President.

FUNCTIONS OF THE GENERAL BODY MEETING

The functions of the general body meeting shall be as follows:
i) To consider and approve proceedings of the previous general body meeting.
ii) To consider and approve audited accounts of the society.
iii)To consider the matters referred to the general body by the governing body submitted by any member of the general body at least one week before the date of meeting.
iv) To consider and pass the annual budget from the coming year.
v) To formulate general policy of the society.
vi) To consider, discuss and implement the matter / programme suitable for aims and objectives of the society.
vii) To elect the President when due.

SPECIAL GENERAL BODY MEETING

 i) The governing body may call at any time a special meeting of the members of the general body for the consideration at any member concerning the society.
ii) The general body meeting may also be called by the president on a special request made for the purpose by at least 30 members of the society.
iii) The decision of the general body and governing body will be made by majority votes except in case of dissolution of society.

TERMINATION OF THE MEMBERSHIP

A) The membership of any member will cease-.

a) On resignation.
b) On death.
c) On expulsions for misconduct and acting against the interest of society.
d) On defame the society.
The general body shall decide all cases of the termination of membership and its decision shall be final.

 B) The governing body may terminate the office bearer/member who is acting against the interest of the Society by 2/3 majority. Issue of show cause notice by the President to the concerned office bearer/member shall take place before such termination.
